The sun is shining again and its time to travel outside of Barcelona. Costa Brava is close enough and a must to visit. If you continue north of the Costa Brava you will reach Cap de Creus Natural Park which sits on geological levels of more than 450 million years and has since 1984 been considered as a natural protected area. It covers municipal areas of El Port de la Selva, La Selva de Mar, Llançà, Cadaqués, Palau-Saverdera, Pau, Roses and Vilajuïga. The view is breathtaking with deep waters and plenty of tiny islands surrounded by transparent water, reefs of rocks made stark by erosion and the strong wind that they are so famous for. While in town you need to visit the restaurant Cap de Creus which is located on the top of a mountain inside an old lighthouse, the view is splendid and their specialty is curry dishes.

In the Natural park you can also find one of the world’s most famous restaurants, El Bulli, just 6 km from Roses and is visited by thousands of gourmets each year, however to just book a table it is a really long waiting time, if you don’t have the right connections of course. On your trip we recommend you to stay at least one night at the charming castle hotel Castell D'Empordà which is located in Girona on a charming rural area that serves as the incomparable setting for a unique castle hotel with wonderful castle accommodation.
