Boca Grande
This new and trendy restaurant is always full so you need to book a table in advance. We wouldn’t say that the food is amazing, it’s more the cool ambiance that makes you come back time after time. The bar upstairs and the “club” inside the toilet also add to the experience.

This place has more of a bistro feeling and its super cozy to sit by the bar and sip on wine while enjoying some delicious tapas. It’s more of an intimate place for two then for bigger groups and they are specialized on cheese so don’t miss out to try one of their cheese plates

The lunch menu here is excellent, you get a complete three course meal with wine or water for only 9,90€ and the service is great. Dinner is not expensive either and some of the nights they have a pianist playing in this beautiful belle époque inspired atmosphere.

BambĂş Lounge Bar
Bambú is seen as a good gathering spot as of the mixed crowd it manages to attract. It is not located in the city center but in Gracia, as a matter of fact it is called the first lounge bar of Gracia, which is a great area to keep most of the tourists away. The restaurant is cozy decorated with its Asian style – giving it a mystique atmosphere but still relaxing.

Restaurante Basmati
This is an intimate and cozy restaurant with multicultural cuisine, a mix of the best from east and west focusing on rice dishes such as paella, wok, risotto etc, although they also have meat and fish on the menu. The interior is very artistic and has a charming blend of antiquities from Persia and India with lots of warm colors and paintings.

Indochine
This place is simply exceptional – entering is like suddenly being in the rainforest or in some Thai boat taking you to yet another island. You will hear the waterfall, be surrounded by trees, lakes and colorful flowers. To dine here we recommend you to sit on the fluffy cushion on floor level, it´s still fairly comfortable as their is space under the table for your feet; here you will also be able to see the shiny orange goldfishes swim around you. Otherwise you do have the choice to sit in the middle of the restaurant in the so-called “wooden patio” where you can dine on a normal level.

La Caseta del Migdia
We always love to be as high up as possible, as it is the best place to be of course, the view, the air and seeing everything in another dimension. This is one of those magical places that you just have to see. Here you can sit and enjoy life for hours and look at the beautiful sunset. Sometimes there is live music, but you never know, otherwise there is some cool background music. They offer a set menu of grilled meat and salads that you can enjoy in a hammock or a candlelit table. Open Saturday´s and Sunday´s in the summer. Call and dubbel check before you go up.

La Paradetta
The specialty here is “Gambas” and “Frutas del mar” so in other words delicious treats from the sea. The place is famous for being inexpensive and it looks like you are inside of some kind of fish market, here you can have a fantastic meal including drinks for only 10-15euros, which is a great bargain in this town, especially if you like high quality products. The chain exists in different places around the Catalonian coast but the most central one is located in El Borne.

Le Relais de Venise
This French restaurant offers a fixed menu that consists in a salad, the best entrecote in town with a secret sauce and French fries. The place is a dream for those who loves old classic places, elegant (though a bit old) and where all the waitresses are dressed in the same kind of classic “French maid” outfit. A great place to eat an excellent meal.

Inopia
It is allowed to get messy in here that's one of the many reasons why we love this place. The ambiance is energetic and loud however you are in your own corner with your friends so you don't really realize the surrounding that much. The owner is Albert Adria who is the brother to the famous Spanish chef Ferran.

Bestial
With its wooden decking, beautiful olive trees and seaside view this is one of the absolute best places in town during summer. A classic to order is their mini hamburgers but if you want something lighter the rocket salad with parma ham is a good choice, when its time for dessert you must order the sorbet.

This is a cozy Spanish restaurant with a constant crowd outside waiting to get in, so we obviously recommend you to book a table in advance. Isabella´s
This is one of those restaurants that you get really happy that you found. Unfortunately the food is not amazing (except the meat so that’s what you should order) but it’s more the vibrant surrounding that will make this place one of your favorites. Charming, great service and lots of personality.

Gurqui
The whole place is kind of odd and at the same time so normal. With only 5 tables randomly placed in the restaurant it literally feels like you are sitting in another persons home or actually more like a winter cabin to be exact. What surprised us the most is that the food here is absolutely fantastic. With a simple Catalan cuisine, extraordinary wine and a surrounding that gives you the country house feeling this becomes a favorite.

Sagardi
As they say themselves “Based on the cider-houses and taverns of the Basque Country, Sagardi is the meeting point between the past and the present”. This Basque kitchen is absolutely charming with it´s rustic interior made out of low brick vaults and cozy lighting. One part of the restaurant is more quite and made for enjoying the food in a more tranquil ambiance and the other part is a lively tapas bar where the freshly made small dishes are being served. .

Shunka
Being the favorite Japanese restaurant for the gourmet Chef Ferran Adria says a lot about the fantastic Sushi they offer at this place. Here we recommend you to take one of the bar seats where you can have fun looking whilst they prepare the food. Come here to enjoy the fresh fishes and drink lots of the well tasting Niigata Saké.

La Bodegueta Provenca
This is such a popular restaurant that you will have to stand in line for a table even at eight o´clock on a Monday night. The place is an old wine cellar and known for its wine/vermouth selection and charcuterie. The daily specials almost outnumber the items on the regular menu so it's always hard to narrow down the choices but it is all very tasty. As the place is always crowded it’s a great ambiance for any day or night of the week.

Samsara
Located in the bohemian Gracia area, Samsara has found it's niche. The place has a cheerful atmosphere and the interior has a North African vibe with low stools and an eclectic mix of tapas offering flavors from all over the world, such as Arab, Mediterranean and Asian. Having a live DJ playing house music on the weekends this is a great place to start for a good night out. We recommend the potatoes with pesto and the shrimps with Yoghurt sauce. Yummy.

Parco
This sushi restaurant is filled with fashionable and trendy people but still keeps a low key ambiance. The interior is dark, intimate and feels “homie” as the furniture is Swedish design from the 70´s. We recommend you to try their hot sushi here its delicious. Parco is a great place to go any day of the week, especially in the weekend when you can sit in the crowded bar afterwards.

Restaurant Yashima
Teppanyaki is a style of Japanese cuisine that refers to dishes cooked using an iron plate, including steak, shrimp, okonomiyaki, yakisoba, and monjayaki. The best thing about this Teppan Yaki place is that they have three different dining rooms, the sushi bar, the spot around the hot Teppan- Yaki table and at the Japanese tatami seating’s. The lunch menu is 20,50€. And the tasting menu at night is 57€ but very worth it as you absolutely get to taste everything possible. Don’t forget to drink some Sake and Japanese beer once you’re here, it´s excellent with the food.

Restaurant ME
We always loved this restaurant, especially the owner/waiter Javier working here, he always have great tips of which wine to order to which food. Javier also take that extra step of service and sits down with you for a second whilst taking your order, making you feel like a welcomed customer, or actually more like a friend. The fusion of Vietnamese, Catalan and New Orleans food is a great mix and definitely a must go. The interior and ambiance is friendly and it feels like you’re in a private house having a dinner party.

Barceloneta
The sea food restaurant Barceloneta is one of our personal favorites in Barcelona. The setting is romantic and the interior reminds you of an old fishing boat. As this charming place is located right next to the Port Vell it also has a big terrace for warmer days where you can sit and enjoy your meal while glancing at the boats in the harbor. The service is professional and the place is always packed so reservation of a table is a must.

Restaurant Thai Gardens
Thai Gardens is a great place to eat and start your night out. This place is decorated and laid out as if it were an authentic garden belonging to the Royal Court of Siam, with waterfalls and orchids. The menu features over 70 dishes, although if it's your first time, you're best to opt for one of the set menus. They serve Spanish wines, Thai Singha beer and Thai whisky.
